I am a User Experience Designer pursuing my love of design and form.
Earlier, in my 5 years as an Architect I utilized my design skills focussing on improving the energy efficiency of buildings. I enjoy problem solving and approach design problems with the attitude of understanding the root cause of any issue, analyzing the data and using it to effect the right solution.
User Experience Design has been a natural evolution and coming together of my skills, experience and interest. It aligns with my design aptitude and closely connects me with people using my design solutions. It also opens new prospects of learning how to integrate the ever evolving technology into people's lives.
While convenient to work on a solution of a problem as it is presented, I make it a point to conduct due diligence, ask right questions to right people, and let data drive the solution.
It is easy to carry bias when analyzing data. Over the years, discipline & an open mind have helped me understand and interpret data correctly, leading to reinforcing or reworking the goals.
One of my favorite parts of the design process is talking, discussing, brainstorming and throwing ideas at each other. I’m always amazed at how productive such an informal process can be.
Prototypes bring ideas to life and show you the holes in your stories. This stage of the solution process helps me, the designer, validate my solution and initiate conversations with users.
Designs are usually tested much later in the process but I strongly believe early testing your design solutions with users creates a refined and sophisticated solution.
